Safety Day 2014 Recap

June 20, 2014

As the participants would attest, Safety Day 2014 provided a glimpse of what both Seneca Lake Park and Marina are committing themselves to accomplish-an environment that nurtures both community and environmental care.

The overwhelming success of Safety Day 2014 has further fueled the optimism of visitors and employees of the park and marina alike in regards to the 2014 season.  Safety Day 2014 brought in local law enforcement, firefighters, and EMT's to describe the rigors of their occupations and explain what they themselves do on a day-to-day basis.

There are several reasons why Safety Day 2014 turned out to be such a huge hit, but one reason in particular stands out-participants were able to get in on the action whether that was spraying controlled-mock fires (left) or climbing aboard MedEvac choppers (right).

Ultimately, Safety Day 2014 owes its success to the Seneca Lake Park Activities Team that put in the man hours to make it possible and all of the visitors who braved the intense summer heat.  Unfortunately, the memorable Safety Day 2014 is now in the books; however, visitors to the park and marina can look forward to the vast array of events scheduled for the 2014 season!  In case you did miss Safety Day 2014, hurry over to our events calendar at Seneca Lake Marina Events Calendar to see for yourself whats happening at the lake as June quickly comes to a close.
